The Embassy of the Czech Republic organised a working breakfast for Ambassadors and Defense Attachés of NATO Member Countries on protection of critical infrastructure in the sea.
Critical infrastructure, such as telecommunications and power cables in the Baltic Sea, offshore wind farms and oil fields in the Northern Sea, or natural gas rigs in the Eastern Mediterranean, are crucial for global communication and energy supply. These assets are increasingly threatened by physical sabotage.
Protecting strategic assets in the maritime environment from physical and cyber threats has become a key component of national security. International cooperation, such as the NATO Maritime Centre for Security of Critical Undersea Infrastructure, is essential for coordinated efforts.
Representatives of Israeli defense industry (Elbit Naval Systems, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, DSIT Solutions) and commanders of the Israeli Navy presented the participants of the NATO Contact Point Embassy event with cutting-edge maritime technologies and shared the experience gained from their operational deployment.
