On October 30, a state reception was held at the Kai Art Center in Estonia to mark the anniversary of the founding of the First Czechoslovak Republic. The event also celebrated the passing of the constitutional law on Austria’s permanent neutrality.
Guests included ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions in Estonia, expats, politicians, and distinguished guests, including the Estonian Minister of Education and Research, Kristina Kallas. The event began with an unique stand-up performance by Ambassador David Král in collaboration with Austrian Ambassador Peter Mikl. Following the Czech, Austrian, and Estonian anthems, they presented both cultural and historical similarities and differences between the countries. In addition to the main hall, a cinema room was open for guests to watch videos highlighting the beauty of the Czech Republic and Austria.
A rich selection of refreshments was available at the reception: guests could enjoy schnitzels, strudels, finger foods, and Czech and Austrian wines and beers were served. The evening encouraged friendly meetings and informal discussions, which contributed to establishing new contacts and strengthening mutual relations.
