Embassy of the Czech Republic in Estonia Opens Applications for Summer School of Slavonic Studies"

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Estonia is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Summer School of Slavonic Studies (SSSS), an educational program offered annually during the summer months at various public universities in the Czech Republic. This program, held this year at Masaryk University in Brno, offers a comprehensive learning experience in Czech language, literature, culture, and history.

Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies (SSSS) are study courses organized by several public universities in the Czech Republic. Courses are held annually during the summer months (July, August, September). Their duration ranges from 3 to 4 weeks. The length of the course is determined by the organizing school.

Within the framework of their educational blocks, the individual organizing schools offer Czech language courses at various levels of proficiency, selective seminars focused on the Czech literature, culture and history, leisure activities including theater, music and dance performances, excursions, sightseeing tours, etc. 

The courses are designed for foreign students, specialists (teachers, translators, interpreters) and academics in the field of Czech studies and Slavonic studies who are over 18 years old. 

This year we have two spots open for applicants from Estonia. The course will be held at Masaryk University in Brno.

The application form is available here. The application needs to be accompanied by a CV written in Czech or English. The application form with the attachments must be submitted at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Estonia by March 25, 2024.
