On Sunday, 25th of March 2018, a fair called Days of International Education, organized by Baltic Council was held at Radisson Blu Hotel Olümpia. The fair is held annually in all the Baltic countries, both in spring and autumn. Representatives of the programme Study in Prague joined the tour around Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia again this year.
Study in Prague is a joint project of seven main public Prague universities that promotes them abroad. Charles University, University of Economics, University of Chemistry and Technology, Czech Technical University, Czech University of Life Sciences were newly joined by Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, as well as Academy of Performing Arts. The fair held in Tallinn was attended by Ms. Karnetova (University of Chemistry and Technology), Mr. Stuparič, Mr. Mareš (both from Charles University), Ms. Stehlíková (Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design) and Ms. Adamcová (Academy of Performing Arts); however all of the above mentioned universities were promoted at the fair. Representatives of the art universities, that joined the programme for the first time this year also met with partner universities in order to sign corresponding contracts that would help facilitate their mutual cooperation within the network of the Erasmus+ exchange programme. The employees of the Czech embassy visited the fair and met with the representatives.
In the following two days, the Czech embassy arranged for the programme representatives to promote the universities, as well as introduce the Czech Republic at two selected secondary schools in Tallinn. On Monday, 26th of March, Mr. Stuparič from Charles University, along with Ms. Karnetová from University of Chemistry and Technology presented the programme at Tallinna 21. kool for the students of the eleventh and twelfth-grades. The audience consisted of around fifty prospective students. On Tuesday, 27th of March a presentation for another group of fifty students was held at Jakob Westholmi Gümnasium, this time presented solely by Ms. Karnetová. This event was also attended by the representatives of the Czech embassy. Based on number of personal consultations, we can conclude that both of the presentations were very successful and met with a great acclaim from both Estonian students, as well as their teachers.
