Exhibition „Charles IV, Czech King and Holy Roman Emperor“ in Kiek in de Kök

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Estonia, the National Museum of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Museum of Kiek in de Kök & Bastion Tunnels in Tallinn cordially invite you to the exhibition called “Charles IV, Czech King and Holy Roman Emperor”, which will be open from 8th of December 2016 to 28th of February 2017.
 

The National Museum of the Czech Republic has prepared this exhibition for the 700th anniversary of the birth of Charles IV. The purpose of the exhibition is to apprise visitors of the importance and status of Prague during the reign of Charles IV. Apart from the text and image panels, 14 stone-sculpture artefacts will be also the important part of the exhibition. There will be exposed architectural sculptures from the National Museum´s collections. These collections document the work of a builder of St. Vitus Cathedral - Petr Parléř and his fellow workers. Except these extraordinary artefacts, visitors of the museum also will see a pair of rare gold coins – two ducats of Charles IV Luxemburg, so called “royal” and “imperial”, minted by Prague Mint.
