The National Museum of the Czech Republic has prepared this exhibition for the 700^th anniversary of the birth of Charles IV. The purpose of the exhibition is to apprise visitors of the importance and status of Prague during the reign of Charles IV. Apart from the text and image panels, 14 stone-sculpture artefacts will be also the important part of the exhibition. There will be exposed architectural sculptures from the National Museum´s collections. These collections document the work of a builder of St. Vitus Cathedral - Petr Parléř and his fellow workers. Except these extraordinary artefacts, visitors of the museum also will see a pair of rare gold coins – two ducats of Charles IV Luxemburg, so called “royal” and “imperial”, minted by Prague Mint.
