A visa appointment is necessary to ensure the best visa procedure possible. Please note that the Consulate General in Sydney is the only office for applicants from Australia, New Zealand and other countries within the consular competence of the Consulate General in Sydney that can accept visa applications. 

Before you start the application process, please read the below carefully:

• If you are  planning to visit two or more Schengen countries, you shall apply for the visa in the embassy/consulate of the country you will be residing in for most of the traveling days, referred to as the main destination
• Schengen visa applications can be submitted six months at the earliest and 15 days at the latest ahead of the trip (counted from the appointment date). 
• Due to the biometric data collection (fingerprints and photographs) and the technical infrastructure, a minimum of fifteen consecutive days is required to process all visa applications
• The passport must stay at the Embassy / Consulate for the entire duration of the visa application process
• Please only hand in complete visa applications and supporting documents, the Consulate General will not accept incomplete applications.

 

Appointments for submitting a visa are on Mondays 9:00 -11.30 by appointment only. 

Request for appointment only via e-mail sydney.visa@mzv.gov.cz , always providing us with the following information (everything must be sent in one email).

For appointment for SCHENGEN VISA ( up to 90 days)  always provide us:

   - full name
   - contact information: phone and email
   - country issued your passport (what country you are a passport holder of)
   - visa/ residence permit:

• ►for Australia: please attach your current VEVO showing that you have been in Australia for more than one year (if it is shorter, please submit also the previous visa)
• ►for other countries (such as New Zealand, Fiji etc.): Applicants from any other countries in the consular district of the Consulate General will need to present their current visa as well (showing that you have been in the country for more than one year. If it is shorter, please submit also the previous visa). 

   - date of intended departure from Australia/New Zealand/Fiji etc.
   - include your detailed itinerary of your trip (mentioning how many days you intend to spend in each Schengen country)

 For  appointment for LONG term visa/ residency permit  always provide us:

   - full name
   - contact information: phone and email
   - country issued your passport
   - visa/ residence permit (for citizens of countries other than Australia/New Zealand):

• ►for Australia: please attach your current VEVO showing that you have been in Australia for more than two years with a continuous stay (if it is shorter, please submit also the previous visa)
• ►for other countries (such as New Zealand, Fiji etc.): Applicants from any other countries in the consular district of the Consulate General will need to present their current visa as well showing that you have been in the country for more than two years with a continuous stay. If it is shorter, please submit also the previous visa.

   - specify whether you would apply for visa or residency and what is the purpose of the stay

​!!Important:  A foreign national (not Australian or New Zealand citizen) who is legally residing in Australia/New Zealand or other countries must prove a 2 YEAR CONTINUOUS LEGAL RIGHT TO STAY within Australia/ New Zealand or other country (provide VEVO/ visa)  to be able to submit the LONG TERM  VISA APPLICATION/ PERMIT  at the Consulate General in Sydney)!! Unless exemption applies.
