Galina Miklínová opened her exhibition in Sofia

On February 15, 2017 the opening of the exhibition of cartoons „Books in motion“ of known Czech illustrator and author of cartoons Galina Miklínová was held at the premises of the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Czech Centres in Sofia. The exhibition was opened by the personal attendance of Mrs. Miklínová and started by the speeches of H. E. Mr. Dušan Štrauch, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Bulgaria and Mrs. Kateřina Churtajeva, Director of the Czech Centres in Sofia.
During her visit Mrs. Miklínová met students of the Animation and illustration department of the Art Academy and New Bulgarian University. She organised also very successful „socks“ workshop for children by using of characters of her book „Oddsockeaters“.
About Author: Galina Miklínová (July 28, 1970) is an award-winning Czech illustrator and author of cartoons. She graduated from UMPRUM in Prague in 1997. She also studied at the University of Humberside in the United Kingdom. She won many awards as both an author of cartoons and an illustrator of books. She often works with a Czech poet Pavel Šrut.
