YEONGWOL – photographic exhibition „The Innocents“ by Liba Taylor

Well-known Czech-born London-based photographer Liba Taylor presents the selection of her works made in many countries of Africa while on assignments for various British and US NGOs UNHCR and other UN bodies.
Wide selection of photographs from all corners of Africa are presented in African Art Museum of Yeongwol, Republic fo Korea from July 24 to August 22, 2010: Photos were made by LIba Taylor, Czech-born London-based photographer, who travelled across the African continent on numerous assignments in the last three decades. Working for UNHCR, UNICEF, ActionAid UK, WHO, UNAIDS, Save the Children Fund, to name only a few, brought her to less traveled corners of the continent, to places like Southern Sudan, Sierra Leone, Somaliland or Liberia.
Liba Taylor emigrated from Czechoslovakia after the Soviet occupation in 1968 and studied Spanish, History of Art and Radio, Film and Television at the University of Bristol, UK. Since the 1970s she started working on documentary projects for UK and international humanitarian organizations, she has also won numerous British and international awards. Since the fall of communism she works both from London and Prague.
The exhibition was opened by the director of African Art Museum Ambassador-retired Cho Myong-haing, President of Korea-Africa Association Mr. Kim Yoo-bae, Mayor of Yeongwol Mr. Park Sungyu and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Jaroslav Olša, jr. on July 24, 2010. Ms. Liba Taylor personally guided the tour of the exhibition after the official opening with some 80 people
