SEOUL - Memorandum of cultural cooperation between the Czech Embassy in Seoul and Mokpo city

Ambassador Tomáš Husák signed the memorandum of cultural cooperation between the Czech Embassy in Seoul and Mokpo city (represented by its mayor, Hon. Hong Ryul Park) on September 9, 2015.
The scope of cooperation is the cultural exchange between the Republic of Korea and the Czech Republic and the support of Antonín Dvořák International Competition for young composers.
This yearly competition, which was held lately in August in Prague under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, is organized by the conductor of the SeoulOratorio Orchestra Mr. Choi Chol-yung. He is an excellent musician and holder of Gracias Agit Award. Mr. Choi is native of Mokpo City - therefore in the upcoming future the competition will be held alternately in Prague and Mokpo. This way the Czech culture will be spread to the southern industrial area of the country. The first concrete step of cooperation prepared by the Czech Embassy in Seoul and Mokpo City Hall will be the photo exhibition of Czech castles.
The signing of the memorandum was followed by a brief press conference. Present journalists were interested in cultural activities and programs of the Czech Embassy in downtown Seoul. Information about the signing of the memorandum was published within few minutes in e-medias, short video was broadcasted during evening TV news and the information appeared in a number of printed Medias the following day.
