SEOUL – Korean winners of Lidice children´s international art competition

South Korean children are taking part in Lidice International Children´s Exhibition of Fine Arts for almost a decade now, and every year a few of them are being awarded diplomas and other awards by Czech jurors.

Five Korean girls in their school uniforms and accompanied by their mothers have accepted the Czech ambassador´s invitation for a cake to Seoul´s Castle Praha (www.castlepraha.co.kr) for an awarding ceremony and presentation of diplomas of 36th Lidice International Children´s Exhibition of Fine Arts. These aspiring artists from Seoul and Busan have been selected honorable mentions by an international jury of this well-known Czech international art competition (www.mdvv-lidice.cz). All awarded young artists have received a set of Korean-language books on the Czech Republic and also books by Czech writers published recently in Korean translations.
One more such ceremony will be organized in Busan, too, as five more students of Busan Middle School of Arts should receive there awards as well.
