SEOUL – Czech film school student awarded by GFFIS

Student of Prague´s acclaimed Film Academy (FAMU) Akile Nazli Kaya of Turkey was awarded the Best Short Film Award and took home 5 million won cash prize at 2012 Green Film Festival in Seoul.

The Green Film Festival in Seoul (GFFIS – www.gffis.org)  was first established in 2004 by the Korea Green Foundation to “share the hope for a better world where all the lives can be in harmony with environment and nature” and to “promote ideas of environmental protection through cinema.” In its 9th ediction, a total number of 829 feature and short films from 64 different countries around the world were submitted for the competition.

It is an another success of Czech cinematography in the Republic of Korea after documentary „Czech Peace“ won DMZ film festival in 2010.
