SEOUL – Czech and Slovak photographers: guests of honour of Seoul Photo 2011

A special Czech and Slovak section of Seoul Photo 2011, the 1st photo fair in Asia, shows almost 100 large format photographs by eight Czech and Slovak contemporary photographers.
The Czech Republic and Slovakia were chosen as the Guest of Honour country(ies) at Seoul Photo 2011 (www.seoulphoto.org). The selection of works by the leading contemporary artists from the Czech Republic and Slovakia was officially opened on April 21, 2011 at COEX conference and exhibition center in Seoul by the President of Seoul Photo Mr. Kang Chul and Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Korea Mr. Jaroslav Olša, jr. Present were also three of the featured artists – Milan Fano Blatný and Jan Pohribný from the Czech Republic and Katka Pračková from Slovakia. The opening ceremony was sponsored by importer of the best Czech biers – Pilsner Urquell, Kozel and Gambrinus – Miller Brewing Korea (www.miller.co.kr).
Following the end of the Seoul Photo 2011, the Czech-Slovak exhibition has moved to Lotte Gallery at Avenuel – Lotte Department Store (www.avenuel.co.kr) at Myungdong, Central Seoul. There it was officially opened for public at April 26, 2011 by gallery´s curatur Sung Yun Jean and Ambassador Jaroslav Olša, jr. The exhibition will be open for public until July 17, 2011.
