SEOUL – Ambassador presents his letters of credence

New Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic H.E. Mr. Jaroslav Olša, jr. has presented his letters of credence to President of the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Lee Myung-bak.

On September 4, 2008 President of the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Lee Myung-bak has received new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Jaroslav Olša, jr. Ambassador Olša, who has been accompanied by Czech embassy´s trade counsellor Ms. Naděžda Vlnasová, has presented the letters of credence by which President of the Czech Republic H.E. Mr. Václav Klaus accredited him to be the third resident Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Korea.
During the brief conversation President Lee Myung-bak mentioned his visit to Czech capital Prague a few years ago and noted he would like to return back and enjoy the beauty of Prague once more. He also appreciated the increasing volume of trade between both countries and mentioned the investment of Hyundai Motor in Nošovice, which will soon start serial production of various types of Hyundai cars. Ambassador Olša added that not only trade relations, but also cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries has significantly increased in last year and that he will do his utmost to support all these activities during his tour of duty.
