Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Bohuslav Sobotka on official visit of the Republic of Korea 24-27 Feb 2015

Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and President Park Geun-hye held a bilateral summit at Cheong Wa Dae on February 26. The two leaders announced in a joint statement that they would expand cooperation on politics, economy and defense, and upgrade the two countries' relationship to a "strategic partnership”.

This year, the 25th anniversary of the Czech Republic and ROK diplomatic relations is commemorated. The two nations have been continuously expanding trade and investment and ROK continue to share the values of freedom, democracy and human rights. Korea has become one of the Czech Republic’s most important partners among Asian nations.

The two sides signed memoranda of understanding covering diplomacy, national defense and the railroad industry. All aimed at strengthening cooperation in those three areas.
