PRAGUE ― Czech-Korean Agreement on Economic Co-operation Signed

The Agreement on Economic Co-operation between the Republic of Korea and the Czech Republic was signed at the margins of the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Seung-soo in Prague.

The Agreement on Economic Co-operation between the Republic of Korea and the Czech Republic was signed on April 21,  2009 during the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Seung-soo. It was signed on the Czech side by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Martin Říman and on the Korean side by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the  Republic of Korea Kwon Jong-rak.

By the volume of mutual trade  the Republic of Korea is currently ranking on the third place among Asian countries. The Agreement which should enter into force during the second half of this year represents an important tool for further development and strengthening of mutual economic cooperation in all its fields. The Agreement as well establishes a joint body, so-called Joint Commisssion for Economic Cooperation, which will significantly contribute to implementation of interests of Czech exporters.
