PRAGUE – Days of Seoul promoted cooperation between capitals

Czech capital Prague has already established very good working relationship with Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea. Exchanges in a field of culture are the most visible signs of such cooperation.

While more than seventy thousand Korean tourists visit Prague every year, only a small number of Czechs has yet visited Korean capital. Presentation of Korean traditional and modern music and dance, film screenings, taekwondo presentations as well as art exhibitions promoting a.o. Korean manhwa and animation  are part of this unique programme which is to be held from September 15 to 18, 2009. The presence of both mayors - Oh Seo-hun and Pavel Bém – is also a very important sign of close cooperation of both capitals.

 

Days of Seoul in Prague which were held from September 15 to 18, 2009 were the biggest promotion of Korea in the Czech capital as yet. While more than seventy thousand Korean tourists visit Prague every year, only a small number of Czechs has yet visited Korean capital. Presentation of Korean traditional and modern music and dance on galaconcert in Obecní dům, film screenings, taekwondo presentations as well as exhibition promoting Korean manhwa and animation were part of this unique programme. The presence of both mayors - Oh Seo-hun and Pavel Bém – was also a very important sign of close cooperation of both capitals.

And sometime next year, the Days of Prague in Seoul are now being prepared.
