In accordance with European Union legislation, the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic will implement a technical solution within the Criminal Records Information System that prevents the issuance of a criminal record extract with an attached multilingual standard form to persons who are not citizens of the Czech Republic.

From 29 September 2026 onwards, applicants who are not Czech citizens will continue to be able to request and obtain an extract from the Criminal Records Register. However, they will no longer be issued the multilingual standard form accompanying the extract.

Applicants who may be affected by this change are advised to take the new conditions into account when planning administrative procedures requiring the submission of a Criminal Record extract abroad.
