
Jan Lipavský, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czechia, is visiting South Korea

Minister Lipavský had a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Duck-soo. Meeting at the Government Complex Seoul, both counterparts exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and the regional situation
Following Prime Minister Han's official visit last year, Minister Lipavský expressed his welcome for President Yoon's official visit to Czechia this year, adding that as the Czech Foreign Minister, he will actively work to ensure that the visit is successful and that all the cooperation can be well implemented.
"Korea is currently the fourth largest foreign investor in Czechia," the minister said, adding that "we are ready to invest in Korea, focusing on gigafactories, semiconductors, hydrogen, and more."
He also noted that the selection of a Korean company KHNP as the preferred bidder for the construction of a new nuclear power plant in Dukovany was a milestone in our bilateral relations and shows the trust and confidence we have in Korea as a partner.
