The visit of Czech Speaker Parliament Markěta Pekarova Adamová, accompanied by a delegation of about 50 businesspeople, featured a forum to expand cooperation in the private sectors between Czechia and Korea.
The Embassy of Czechia in Seoul hosted the Czechia-Korea Business Cooperation Forum, in cooperation with the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) on the 23rd. About 150 officials and businesspeople from both countries attended the event, including Czech Ambassador to Korea Gustav Slamečka, President of the Confederation of Industry of Czechia Jaroslav Hanák, and KITA Vice Chairman Jeong Marn-ki.
Prior to the forum, Speaker Adamová had a meeting with the Korean business partners, during which they discussed in-depth ways of bilateral cooperation.
KITA Vice Chairman Jeong said in his welcoming speech, "Korea is one of the top four investors in Czechia, contributing to the country's economic development by expanding local production and creating jobs, mainly in automobiles and tyres," adding, "Korea will also be one of Czech's best partners in new industries in the future as well."
The forum also featured the signing of Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) between the KITA and the Czech Federation of Industry. Czechia believes the event will contribute to more prosperous cooperation between the two countries!
