Czech Republic still standing firm as one of the most popular tourist destination by Korean Tour Operators.

"The Five Senses of the Czech Republic" is a PROPED organized by the The Embassy, in cooperation with the Czech Tourism Agency in Seoul and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic, which took place on 26 November in the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul
 

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul, in cooperation with CzechTourism Agency in Seoul, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic, organized a project to support the development of incoming tourism (PROPED) with a focus on selected domestic destinations and tourist attractions. The event was held on November 26th  2018 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul. B2B workshop included presentation, representatives of Korean travel agencies and Czech business partners from the tourism industry took part in the B2B meeting.

The main objective of the project was to present and promote the development of incoming tourism from the Republic of Korea to the Czech Republic. The seminar highlighted specific local destinations, hotels and tourist attractions - UNESCO sites, romantic Prague, beer and wine-making traditions and spa.

Popular tourist destinations, including tourist attractions of Brno, Pilsen and Karlovy Vary, as well as new segments focused on families with children, specialized itineraries and residence programs for VIP tourists were introduced.

 

In addition to representatives of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul, representatives of the CzechTourism agency and representatives of the Czech cities of Pilsen, Karlovy Vary and Brno, the managers of the company sphere - Spa and Hotel Chateau Mcely, Hotel Imperial Karlovy Vary, Hotel Savoy Prague and Rudolf Jelínek, KIWI.com, Balloon Adventures and Pilsner Urquell. On the Korean side, they helped incoming tourism to the Czech Republic through their speeches and participation by Hana Tour and Modetour Network, as well as the Korean Travel Agents Association (KATA), the most prominent  Korean travel agency. At the event, the catalogs also featured Fashion Arena - Prague Outlet shopping opportunities and the popular cosmetics of the Czech Manufaktura company in Korea. 60 Korean representatives of companies, travel agencies and tour operators participated in the workshop and B2B meetings.

 

Last year, more than 400 thousand Korean tourists. From the point of view of the entire incoming tourism, Korea ranked among the 10 most important and strategic business partners of the Czech Republic. The "Five Senses of the Czech Republic" workshop in Seoul has been very successful and has made a significant contribution to maintaining the Korean clientele's interest in the Czech Republic.  With more than five-year experience of the CzechTourism in Seoul and the contacts of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul, he managed to reach out to CEOs and other travel agents as well as key Korean managers who are creating new programs and packages for travel agencies.
