Each year, Czech universities host intensive 3–4 week courses during July and August, combining language instruction with lectures on Czech literature, culture and history, as well as an accompanying cultural program including performances, excursions and guided trips. The length of the course is determined by the organizing school.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic is pleased to open the application process for scholarships to attend the 2026 Summer School of Slavonic Studies. These scholarships, provided by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic, support participation in Czech language courses offered by several universities.

Scholarship eligibility:
Applicants must be residents of the Republic of Korea and at least aged 18 on the first day of the program. 

The scholarships are granted ONLY to candidates nominated by the appropriate authorities of the partner countries or by other authorized nominating agencies, e.g. the Embassies of the Czech Republic abroad and other partner institutions.

Language of instruction:

The courses are taught in Czech or on the basis of English, depending on the participant's initial level of Czech language proficiency.

The SSSS program includes courses of all language proficiency levels: from absolute beginners (A0) to advanced students (C1).
