Summer School of Slavonic Studies 2024 – call for applications

Are you interested in the Czech language and improving your Czech in combination with a deeper knowledge of the culture and history of Czechia? Apply for the Summer School of Slavonic Studies.

The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies at universities in Czechia are offering intensive Czech language courses for the summer of 2024. There are in total 5 places available for South Korean citizens at the Faculty of Philosophy at the Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Philosophy Mendel Universirty in Brno and at the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies in Poděbrady. The duration of the course is determined by the organizing school, usually from 3 to 4 weeks.

Within the framework of their educational blocks, the individual organizing schools offer Czech language courses at various levels of proficiency, selective seminars focused on the Czech literature, culture and history, leisure activities including theater, music and dance performances, excursions, sightseeing tours, etc.

The courses are designed for foreign students, specialists (teachers, translators, interpreters) and academics in the field of Czech studies and Slavonic studies who are over 18 years old. However, they are open to all those interested in the Czech language, literature, history, and culture.

The application form with all required documents must be submitted to the respective embassy  according to the applicant's place of residence.

Please note that the deadline for submitting all applications (hard copies) to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul is Friday, March 15, 2024!
