The Herak/Bulatkin jazz quartet delivered an outstanding performance last night, showcasing a remarkable blend of musical talent and cultural heritage. The quartet features Dutch vibraphonist Miro Herak, of Czechoslovak descent, collaborating with prominent Czech pianist Daniel Bulatkin in this unique project. Joining them are the Netherlands-based rhythm section, comprising Johannes Fend and Martin Hafizi.
The music of the Herak/Bulatkin Quartet reflects their shared Central European roots, drawing strong influences from Slavic and Gypsy folk traditions. This enriching cultural background adds depth to their compositions, creating a captivating listening experience.
