Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra performed in five Korean cities (Seoul, Icheon, Busan, Je-ju and Ulsan) from 7 November to 12 November 2017. All concerts focused on the Czech classical music. The orchestra was conducted by its conductor Mr. Leoš Svárovský. The biggest concerts took place in Ulsan, where 1600 visitors gave standing ovations. The tour was very difficult as the Orchestra travelled to five Korean cities within five days. Ambassador Tomáš Husák attended the concerts and expressed his appreciation to all members of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra for their excellent presentation of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Korea. Together with the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Czech Center in Seoul the Orchestra organized an exhibition of photographs from Zlin city and the region as well as a Moravian wine tasting event and a performance in traditional folk costumes from the region.
