Renowned Czech-Korean choreographer duo Eva Kolarova and Kim Pan Sun have prepared this performance with Korean students during the spring semester, aiming to explore different ways how people express their emotions. This event has been supported by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Seoul.

Czech-Korean choreographers’ duo Eva Kolarova and Kim Pan Sun explore different ways how people express their emotions. Emotions are like energy in motion. Children are very free to express all their feelings, but as they grow up, they learn to differentiate between good ones and bad ones. They start to suppress certain emotions. However these emotions don’t disappear, they remain deep inside accumulating until they explode in the most unpredictable moment.

Eva Kolarova (*1989) is Czech choreographer and dancer based in Canada. After graduating the Dance Conservatoire and the Dance Center in Prague, she studied at the Rudra Béjart School in Lausanne and the Heinz Bosl Foundation’s Ballet Academy in Munich. For her outstanding dance performance and choreography works she was awarded at many international festivals and competitions in Italy, France, Greece, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Korea. In 2018 and 2020 she was invited as a professor of contemporary dance technique and choreography at the Korea National University of Arts.

Kim Pan Sun (*1981) is Korean dancer and choreographer.
