In collaboration with the Czech Embassy, Czech Center Seoul and DGIEA Korea-Czech Association, the "Czech Heroines" exhibition reopened in the southern city of Andong. Since its inauguration in 2020, the exhibition has been translated into 18 languages and exhibited around the world.
On December 1, Deputy Head of Mission Jana Cimbolincová and Director of Czech Center Seoul Michal Emanovský attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition, joined by President of the Korea-Czech Association Park Myeong-ho, General Secretary Jang Sung-yong and members of the association. Together, we celebrated all the women who helped shape our society into a better world.
Mrs. Cimbolincova and Mr. Emanovsky then moved to Daegu to join the "Evening of Friendship," an annual international exchange event hosted by the DGIEA.
Started with the Korea-Poland Association established in 1995, DGIEA currently has associations with 38 countries. The Korea-Czech Association was established in 2007 and has cooperated closely with the Embassy of Czechia ever since. The "Czech Heroines" exhibition is the second collaboration between the embassy and the association after the 2021 exhibition "1989 Velvet Revolution - the Fall of the Iron Curtain." During the event, the deputy head of mission met the members of the association for the first time and discussed future cooperation.
