Ambassador Gustav Slamečka attended the commemorating ceremony marking the International Women's Day

The world celebrated International Women's Day on March 8!. To join the celebration, Ambassador Gustav Slamečka attended the commemorating ceremony hosted by the Korean National Council of Women last Wednesday.

The event had over 1,000 audiences with a number of distinguished guests including First Lady Kim Geon-hee and Spouse of Ambassador of Türkiye.

This year's event was especially significant to the Embassy of Czechia since we held a special exhibition of "Czech Heroines" at the lobby of COEX. The exhibition featured prominent women in the Czech history as rulers, politicians, artists, scientists, and athletes.

Czechia will join the world's path to solve the social inequality and difficulties that remain in our everyday lives and further to build an "equal society."
