Czech and Korean Deputy Foreign Ministers had talks

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Czechia Martin Dvořák visits Korea from Oct. 13-18. On Oct. 14, Deputy Minister Dvořák had talks with Korean Deputy Minister for Public Affairs Choi Youngsam to discuss Czechia-Korea relations, bilateral cooperation and issues in major regions.

Deputy Minister Choi highly valued the active continuation of the Czechia-Korea high-level exchanges including the bilateral summit on June 30, the ministerial talk on Sep. 19 and the Czech deputy minister's visit to Korea now. He suggested enhancing the two countries' strategic partnership in various fields like trade and investment, nuclear power plants and the defense industry.

Agreeing with his Korean counterpart, Deputy Minister Dvořák mentioned that his plan to visit Busan and nuclear power plants during the weekend will be a great opportunity for further cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides also agreed to strengthen the Korea-European Union (EU) cooperation during the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU as well as ties at the multilateral level including the United Nations (UN) and the Visegrad Group (V4). They also shared the situations in the Korean peninsula and Ukraine to reaffirm their support and assistance for one another.
