Slavnostního ukončení výcviku v Tripolisu se zúčastnil maltský ministr vnitra, obrany a zaměstnanosti Byron Camilleri. Přítomen byl náměstek ministra vnitra vlády národní jednoty Mahmud Saeed. Za českou stranu se zúčastnila Štěpánka Litecká, chargé d’affaires a. i. ČR v Libyi. Pozván byl rovněž vedoucí mise EUBAM Jan Vyčítal.

Součástí slavnostního udílení diplomů byla také praktická ukázka zásahu. Výcvik libyjských policejních a vojenských složek provádějí maltští vojáci.

Continuation of the project to support the Libyan border guards in cooperation with Malta

On 7 March, a ceremony was held in Tripoli to mark the end of the third round of specialised training for Libyan security forces focusing on border management and the fight against illegal migration. The training is part of a project of the Ministry for Home Affairs, Security and Employment of Malta. The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic contributed to the implementation of the project under the European Voluntary Solidarity Mechanism with funds from the long-term programme Aid in Place.

The closing ceremony of the training in Tripoli was attended by the Maltese Minister for Home Affairs, Security and Employment, Byron Camilleri. The Deputy Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Mahmoud Saeed, was present. Štěpánka Litecká, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Czech Republic in Libya, attended on behalf of the Czech side. Jan Vyčítal, EUBAM Head of Mission, has also accepted invitation.  

The ceremony also included a practical demonstration of the intervention. The training of Libyan police and military forces is carried out by Maltese soldiers.
