Visa Information
Visa is an authorization which allows a foreigner to enter and temporarily stay on the territory of the Czech Republic / Schengen Area under conditions specified within.
Visa is issued into a passport (travel document) of a foreigner in a form of a visa sticker. Every applicant, including a child, is issued an individual visa sticker. This applies even if the child does not have own passport and is inscribed in the parent´s passport – two visa stickers are issued into the passport in such a case.
Types of Visas
- Schengen (short-stay) visas
- Long-stay visas
- are issued for stays in the Czech Republic over 90 days. Special long-stay visas are issued for the collection of a temporary/permanent residence permit in the Czech territory. Long-stay visa entitles its holder to visit other Schengen countries for maximum of 90 days within every 180-day period,
- applications must be submitted in person at the embassy.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh, in accordance with § 31 para. 3 point a) of Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the Residence of Foreigners in the Czech Republic requests all applicants for long-stay visas and long-term stays who are going to submit applications at this embassy to submit a document similar to an extract from a criminal record issued by the state of which the applicant is a national and the same document issued by the states where the applicant has been residing continuously in the last 3 years for more than 6 months. If the state does not issue such document a solemn declaration is requested.

For details on visa fees consult the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Kindly note that at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh, the visa fees are collected in SAR if paid cash (depending on the monthly average exchange rate) ,CZK/EUR if paid by card.
