Official translation
 

An official translation is a translation produced by a translator appointed in accordance with the Czech law and registered in the list of court interpreters and sworn translators maintained by the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic. A list of sworn translators, including contact details, can be found on a website administered by the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic.

Official translations can also be prepared in an electronic form. However, the acceptance of an electronic official translation must be verified with the receiving institution, as its admissibility may depend on the nature of the original document being translated.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh is not aware of any translators from/to Arabic operating in in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, or Yemen who would be registered on the official list under the above-mentioned law.

Official certification of a translation
 

Unofficial translations prepared by a translator who is not listed in the Register of Interpreters and Translators administered by the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic can be officially verified and certified by a Czech embassy.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Riyadh is authorized to certify translations between English and Czech; however, it does not certify translations to or from Arabic. The embassy may refuse to certify a translation if its quality is insufficient.

To have a translation certified, it is necessary to make an appointment via the email address riyadh.consulate@mzv.gov.cz and pay an administrative fee according to the consular fee table.
