The final conference of the Czech project to combat domestic violence

On December 15, 2022, a conference was held in Pristina as part of the project "How to prevent and combat domestic violence”.

The project is implemented by the Czech non-governmental organization Counseling for Citizenship/Civil and Human Rights in cooperation with the Kosovo partner organization Civil Rights Program Kosovo. This project is co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic as part of the Transition cooperation program for 2022.

The project is focused on the very hot topic of domestic and gender-based violence. Part of it is the sharing of experience and the model of prevention and combating domestic violence from the Czech Republic.

An important part of the project was the transfer of expertise of the Czech police to their Kosovo colleagues. Today's conference is the final event of the project and its goal was to further share experiences with the fight against domestic violence in the Czech Republic with Kosovo NGOs and academic community.

At the conference, the Czech non-governmental organization Counseling for Citizenship/Civil and Human Rights was represented by its Executive Director Miroslav Dvořák. The partner organization Civil Rights Program Kosovo was represented by its Executive Director Naim Osmani. At the beginning, the Head of the Czech Embassy in Kosovo, Pavel Bílek, greeted the participants of the conference.
