While in Pristina, Director Kaplan met with representatives of the Kosovo Association of Blind and Visually Impaired. Representatives of the Association particularly appreciated continuous Czech support for the blind and visually impaired, of which specific accomplishments include the enforcement of the legislation governing the conditions of social and labor inclusion of blind people.

During his visit to Northern Kosovo Director Kaplan monitored some of the other development projects in Prizren, Mitrovica and other places that are currently running in Kosovo under the auspices of CDA. In Fushe Kosovo Director Kaplan paid visit to the Inclusive Center for Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian children; in Prizren he visited the Mother Teresa school for children with hearing impairment and the Center of Early Intervention for children with disabilities. In the village of Srbice Director Kaplan got an opportunity to get acquainted with the project focusing on support of inclusive education for Roma, Ashkali, Egyptian and Bosniak children.

In the North of Kosovo the CDA Director visited VEZA Lifelong Learning Centre where he had discussions with the implementers of the lifelong learning project, as well as with employers, trainers and trainees participating in the lifelong learning project. Thanks to this Czech project the rate of number of Serbs from Northern Kosovo who found a job has considerably increased.

All Kosovo partners, with which the Director of CDA met, appreciated the support of the Czech Republic that has already been provided for several years  in cooperation with Czech NGOs People in Need and Caritas CZ via development projects to minority and vulnerable groups in the country.
