Czech Development Assistance improves the overall situation of Kosovo blind community

On September 28, 2015 Mr. Xhavit Kastrati, Executive Manager of the Xheladin Deda Resource Center in Peja was interviewed on cable TV station Dukagjini about the development projects the Center has implemented mainly thanks to the Czech Development Assistance.
The Center is the only institution in Kosovo specializing in education and assistance to blind and partially sighted children from preschool age up to young people of high school age.
Mr. Kastrati stressed the importnace of the successful long-term cooperation of the Center with Czech Development Agency and the Czech Embassy in Pristina. Besides the big long-term projects X. Kastrati mentioned also small local projects saying:“Small Development Projects of the Czech Embassy are of macro importance for the blind community...“.
Through a number of implemented projects the Resource Center was able to improve its education system, created better condition for its students to succeed in labor market, supported the families of blind students and improved the overall situation of blind community in Kosovo.
