On February 4 and 6, 2025, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Kosovo, Mr. Bohumil Mazánek, signed contracts for the realization of two small local projects that will be implemented in Kosovo this year as part of Czech development assistance. The first project, which the Ambassador signed with the Director of the Xheladin Deda School in Peja, Mr. Xhavit Kastrati, will be implemented in cooperation with the Jan Deyl Secondary School and Conservatory. The project is focused on sharing Czech experience in the field of education of blind children and children with combined disabilities.
The aim of the second project, proposed by the Kosovo NGO Autizmi Flet, is to provide assistance and support to children with autism from the most vulnerable communities in Kosovo, as well as their families. As part of the project therapeutic equipment will be purchased and also special support groups for parents will be established. The contract for the implementation of the project was signed by Ambassador Mazánek and the Director of Autismi Flet, Ms. Violeta Hyseni.
Czech projects will build on the long-term development assistance that the Czech Republic provides to Kosovo.
