The Ambassador of the Czech Republic honored the memory of the fallen Slovak soldiers

On January 19, 2025, 19 years have passed since the crash of the military plane that was transporting Slovak Army personnel returning from the KFOR mission home from Kosovo. That day 42 people died in the accident. The Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Mr. Bohumil Mazánek, paid tribute to the fallen Slovak soldiers on the occasion of the tragic anniversary.
On January 20, 2025, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Kosovo, Mr. Bohumil Mazánek, in cooperation with the Commander of KFOR, gen. Enrico Barduani, organized a ceremony to commemorate the tragic airplane crash that killed 42 members of the Slovak military contingent returning from their mission in Kosovo. At the KFOR base in Pristina, Ambassador Mazánek laid flowers at the memorial to the soldiers who died in the KFOR mission and honored the memory of the Slovak soldiers with a minute of silence. Together with the Czech Ambassador and the Commander of KFOR, members of the 3rd Military Police Unit of the Czech Army in MSU KFOR, headed by col. Karel Fiala, and members of the 27th task group of the Czech Army led by Lt. Col. by David Köhler paid their respects to the memory of their deceased colleagues.
