The 4th Unit of the Czech Military Police started its mission in Kosovo

On January 8, 2025, a ceremony took place at the MSU KFOR base in Pristina, during which the 3rd unit of the Czech Military Police ended its duties in Kosovo and the 4th unit began its six-month mission. The Czech military police officers, in cooperation with the Italian carabinieri, will perform similar tasks as their predecessors - above all, they will operate in the north of Kosovo, in the area inhabited mainly by the Kosovo-Serb community.

On January 8, 2025, a ceremony was held at the base of the Multinational Specialized Unit KFOR in Pristina, during which the commander of the third unit of the Czech Military Police in MSU KFOR, col. Radek Ocelka handed over the Czech flag to the commander of the fourth unit, col. Karel Fiala.  The ceremony officialy ended the 3rd Czech Military Police Unit mission in KFOR, and the 4th Military Police Unit of the Czech Army started its mission in MSU KFOR. During the medal ceremony, the military personnel of the 3rd unit was awarded medals for their service in KFOR. The awards were presented to the soldiers by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Kosovo Bohumil Mazánek, MSU Commander Col. Massimo Rosati and Military Attache of the Czech Republic, Colonel Radim Jonáš. The new Czech unit, same as their predecessors, will perform tasks mainly in the north of Kosovo in municipalities inhabited by Kosovo Serbs.
