Memorial event for the fallen Slovak soldier

On May 15, 2024, close to the administrative border line between Kosovo and Serbia, a ceremony commemorating the tragic death of Sergeant Miroslav Hajduch, a Slovak member of the Czech-Slovak KFOR battalion, who died on May 15, 2002, was held. Representatives of the Liaison Office of the Slovak Republic in Kosovo and of the Embassy of Czechia in Kosovo, together with members of the 2nd Military Police Unit of the Czech Army in KFOR, and personnel of the KFOR HQ from Pristina and the KFOR Regional Command – East took part at the event.

The Head of the Slovak Liaison Office in Kosovo Mr. Rastislav Kostilník, his deputy Michal Plško, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Kosovo Mr. Bohumil Mazánek and his deputy Jana Kálmán laid flowers at the memorial of the deceased soldier and all those present paid their respects to his memory. Members of the 2nd Military Police Unit of the Czech Army in KFOR (MSU KFOR) stood as a guard of honor during the ceremony at the memorial for a Slovak colleague who died tragically.
