KFOR Change of Command Ceremony

On August 7, 2015 the KFOR Change of Command between outgoing commander General Francesco Figliuolo and the new commander General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta took place in KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.
 

The event was attended by Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga, Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, NATO JFC -Naples Commander Admiral Mark Ferguson III, Chief of Italian Defence Staff General Claudio Graziano, Ambassadors of EU and NATO countries, defence/military attachés, religious authorities and personalities of the civil society in Kosovo.

Main representatives of the ceremony stressed in their speeches the importance of KFOR‘s presence in Kosovo, and its role in strengthening security in the region.

Currently KFOR mission personnel consists of approximately 4.500 troops from 31 countries. Currently the Czech Republic is represented by a group of 9 soldiers. The Czech civilian expert holds the position of Deputy Political Adviser to the Commander of KFOR.
