Junior Deputy Minister Košatka visited Kosovo for bilateral consultations

Junior Deputy Minister Martin Košatka visited Kosovo for bilateral consultations from 21st to 24th May 2018.

During his working visit he met the first Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs  Behgjet Pacolli, Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj and Minister for European Integration Dhurata Hoxha. Junior Deputy Minister Košatka shortly met President Hashim Thaçi as well. The meetings focused on the process of visa liberalization, the dialogue for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the internal political situation, future of Trepça company, and the opportunities for the Czech companies in Kosovo. The issue of bilateral economic cooperation was subject of debate with Minister for Economic Development Valdrin Lluka. On the occasion of his visit, Junior Deputy Minister Košatka also held meetings with Head of the EU Office in Kosovo/EU Special Representative Nataliya Apostolova, Head of EULEX mission Alexandra Papadopoulou, and representatives of Serbian minority in Kosovo. Before concluding his visit, Junior Deputy Minister Košatka visited Stary Trg mine (Trepça) on invitation of Quazi Jashari, Director of Mining, and Ibrahim Rugova’s House, a cultural heritage, on invitation of Rugova family. The opening ceremony of  a photo exhibition „Prague 68“ – „Actress Arta Dobroshi Jumping Joyfully for World Peace“ dedicated to the 50th anniversary of occupation of Czechoslovakia by the Warsaw Pact armies was the last item in the program of Junior Deputy Minister Košatka.
