Introducing Czech Olympic athletes in Pristina

The Olympic Games in Paris are in full swing and so is the exhibition of photographs of Czech Olympic athletes at the Czech Embassy in Pristina!

On the occasion of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, we are exhibiting panel photographs of Czech Olympic athletes for the public at the Czech Embassy in Pristina. All those who have a way around us can stop by the photos of Czech promising athletes, judo player Lukáš Krpálek, archers Marie Horáčková and Adam Li, kayaker Jiří Prskavec, shooters Jiří Lipták and David Kostelecky and a group photo of athletes from the Czech Olympic and Paralympic team.

Kosovo was recognised by the International Olympic Committee on 9 December 2014. The Kosovo national team made its debut at the first Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. Judoka Majlinda Kelmendi excelled at the very first Games and won a gold medal for Kosovo. At the subsequent Games in Tokyo, her success was followed by other judoka Nora Gjakova and Distria Krasniqi, who also won gold for Kosovo in their respective weight categories.  Kosovo's judoka also celebrated success at this year's Games in Paris, with Distria Krasniqi and Laura Fazliu winning silver and bronze medals respectively.

The Czech Republic also has its iron in the fire in judo, and we all have our fingers crossed for defending gold medalist Lukáš Krpálek. Sport and the Olympic idea unites us and we are glad that our exhibition contributes to the common enjoyment in Pristina. The exhibition will be on display in our venue throughout the Games until 11 August. Everyone is welcome to come and see it and join us in keeping all fingers crossed for the Czech and Kosovar athletes.

We wish all athletes the best of luck and great sporting performances in Paris!
