First Czech Military Police Unit of the MSU KFOR was replaced by another 30 Czech soldiers

On January 8, 2024, a solemn ceremony took place at the base of the Multinational Speacialized Unit (MSU) in Pristina, during which members of the 1st Czech Military Police Unit of the MSU KFOR were awarded medals for their six-month service in KFOR mission. Czech soldiers were presented medals by MSU commander Brig.Gen. Ruggiero Capodivento and were congratulated by the commander of the 1st Czech Unit MP MSU Col. Zdeněk Koreczki and Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Kosovo Bohumil Mazánek. The departing soldiers were replaced by another thirty personnel of the Czech Military Police.

During the solemn ceremony on January 8, 2024, members of the 1st Czech Military Police Unit of the MSU KFOR were replaced by the 2nd Unit under the command of Col. Konstantin Kasík. The Czech soldiers will perform in close cooperation with foreign colleagues similar tasks as their predecessors.

As part of the ceremony, MSU commander Brig. Gen. Ruggiero Capodivento thanked the departing Czech soldiers for their service, highlighted their professionalism and expressed his belief that the excellent cooperation will continue even with the new Czech unit.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Kosovo, Mr. Bohumil Mazánek, also thanked the Czech military policemen, emphasized the importance of their work in KFOR mission in ensuring security in Kosovo and for maintaining the good reputation of the Czech Republic, and wished the departing and incoming soldiers all the best in their personal and professional lives.
