Delegation of the Senate of the Czech Republic visited Kosovo

On April 23 and 24, 2024, a delegation of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic visited Kosovo. The Czech senators discussed with a number of Kosovo partners the possibilities of deepening of bilateral cooperation and also met with Czech soldiers who are working in Kosovo in KFOR and UNMIK missions.

The Czech senators met with the partner committees - the Committee for Defense and Security and the Committee for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, were received by the Speaker of the Parliament Glauk Konjufca and held discussions with the Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci, the Minister of the Interior Xhelal Sveҫla and the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Liza Gashi. All negotiations took place in a friendly atmosphere and confirmed the interest of Pristina and Prague in deepening cooperation. The Czech delegation also met with members of the Czech Armed Forces, who operate in Kosovo as members of the KFOR and UMIK missions.
