On 15 March, 2017 the concert "Electronic Pop Act" officially launched Francophonie in Kosovo. The Embassy of France together with other Embassies and cultural institutions of Kosovo have prepared an extensive program of exhibitions, music, theater and film performances, programs for children and conferences, including a presentation of French gastronomy and information about studying at French universities.
On 18 March, 2017 the Czech Embassy in Pristina participated in the Francophonie events by screening the Czech documentary film „Roma FC“. The film won the award "Best Czech Documentary Film" at the International Documentary Film Festival in Jihlava in 2016. In the story about a Czech football club composed mainly of Roma players, the filmmakers deal with the issues of xenophobia and the social status of the Roma people, which is also one of the current problems in today's Kosovo. The topic of the film led to a debate on the situation of the Roma people in Kosovo and in Czechia.
