The opening concert of the Czech trombonist Lukáš Moťka on 30 November 2017 launched the 2nd year of Brass Kosova Festival. The concert took place at the amphitheater of the Institute of History in Pristina in the presence of Ambassador of the Czech Republic Ivo Šilhavý and more than 70 spectators. Besides 7 concerts, workshops with the young musicians from Kosovo and the countries of the Western Balkan region will also be a part of the festival.

The Brass Kosova Festival association organizes the festival from November 30 to December 18, 2017 with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pristina, the Kosovo Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Pristina, the University of Pristina, the European Brass Association, the Prenk Jakova Music School and the Tickmedia. Apart from Lukáš Moťka, the musicians from Kosovo, Albania, Germany and the USA will perform in those 7 concerts.

Lukáš Moťka presented the works of the Czech composers Václav Smit and Václav Riedelbach as well as the French authors Jean-Francois Michele and Alexandr Guilmanto while accompanied by a pianist Mishbach Kaçamaku the member of the Kosovar Philharmonic Orchestra. Despite the bad weather conditions, more than 70 mostly young people participated in the concert and they highly appreciated the professional performance of the musical composition by a long applause.

A workshop for the young musicians from Kosovo was also a part of Lukáš Moťka's stay in Pristina. The cultural event took place with the financial and organizational support from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pristina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
