The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pretoria registers, on a voluntary basis, the presence of Czech citizens living in the countries of its jurisdiction, for a possible use during extraordinary events such as natural disasters, etc. However, for such cases, there is also a possibility to register in the DROZD database - Voluntary registration of citizens of the Czech Republic when traveling abroad (in Czech language, focused mainly but not exclusively on Czech citizens staying temporarily abroad).

In case a citizen registered with the Embassy is interested, the provided contact information is also used to share information on security, consular, electoral, cultural and other topics. The data provided is stored and handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and the GDPR legislation.
