On 23 September 2023, the main partner hospital, the National Paediatric Hospital, held a training session on the use of newly supplied equipment from Linet, s.r.o., namely positioning beds. Linet, s.r.o. was founded in the Czech Republic in 1990 with the aim of improving the conditions of many caregivers. It has been operating in Asia for many years and has opened a number of showrooms in the region (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia) and now its products can also be found in Cambodia.
The equipment was delivered as a gift from LINET s.r.o. to the partner Cambodian National Paediatric Hospital as a compatible to the activities of the bilateral project Czech Perinatology Hands Flying to Cambodia, implemented by the Vita et Futura Foundation at the General University Hospital in Prague. The aim of this project is to reduce maternal and infant mortality in line with the Sustainable Millennium Goals. The LINET Group has been active in the region for decades and LINET Asia's main goal is to support LINET partners and customers from Asian countries - hence the company's representative from the Singapore office was sent to Cambodia. At the same time, the Vita et Futura project team participated in the training. The training day started with a product and theory presentation followed by a practical demonstration on each of the beds. The presentation and training was attended by about 16 Cambodian participants - nurses, a doctor, hospital management and a technical representative of the company that provides service for the company directly in Cambodia. The training focused on all the controls of the beds supplied and the positioning of patients with the assistance of midwives. This is one of the top 5 most advanced models of birthing beds in the world. The training is fully adapted to the realities in Cambodia and will be repeated after certain periods of time.
