Cambodia - project to improve water management

On May 22 and 23, 2017, CdA, a. i. at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Phnom Penh and a representative of G-servis Praha held a meeting at the Cambodian Ministry of Industry and Crafts and with representatives of the municipal government of the Sihanoukville City in southern Cambodia. Negotiations with partners were focused on the prerequisites for implementing the project to improve the quality of water supply and water management in Sihanoukville agglomeration.

The meeting in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville was organized to explore the feasibility of implementing the Sustainable and Effective Water Management Project in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. This project falls under the title "Development Partnership Program for the Private Sector in 2017".

As part of a survey of the possibilities for project implementation, partners at the Ministry of Industry and Handicrafts and Sihanoukville City officials have confirmed that the Sihanoukville agglomeration must necessarily address the problems of its dynamic growth, coupled with demands for quantity and quality of water supply. The partners specified their interest in cooperation, in particular, to solve the existing free runoff of sewage at sea.
