World Water Day 2025

This World Water Day, we celebrate a major achievement in improving access to clean water, sanitation and protection against floods.

In Pursat province, our recent WASH project led by East Meets West Foundation (EMWF) has brought safe water and improved sanitation to more than 1,100 vulnerable individuals in 20 villages.

In Kampong Chhnang, in partnership with Diakonia Czech Republic, has improved access to drinking water for over 9,000 households in targeted districts, ensuring better hygiene and health for thousands of families.

Since 2018, People in Need Cambodia, with support from the Czech government, has been operating Early Warning Systems (EWS), helping communities prepare for and respond to floods and other water-related disasters, and protecting lives and livelihoods.

In addition, we are bringing clean water to schools across Takeo, Kampot, Rattanakiri, Mondulkiri and Phnom Penh with our current project lead by AHHA Education. There will be more than 1 500 students and staffs across six schools benefiting from clean water access.

Czechia will keep making a difference in water and sanitation.
