V. Tesař, CdA, a. i. visited the Documentation Centre, Cambodia on June 22, 2017
Documentation Center, Cambodia (DC-Cam) was established with international support as center for documenting the history and origins of the expansion of the Khmer Rouge movement in Cambodia. The Center has a wide background of archives, documents, historical objects and film material used to illustrate the dark side of Cambodia's recent history, particularly to those of the young generation of Cambodians born after 1979.
Together with local Embassy staff, V. Tesař learned about DC-Cam's activities, received a lecture on the rise, operation and fall of the Khmer Rouge regime, and saw the film "Mass Grave near Pagoda." Following a discussion with S. Sirik, director of the Memorial Museum, visitors went through a photographic exhibition and met the DC-Cam team.
